FAQ
What kind of incense cones do I need?
Backflow incense cones, sometimes called waterfall cones. They have a small hole through the center so the smoke flows down instead of up. Most candle shops and Amazon carry them. Any brand fits the burner.
How do I use it?
Set a cone on the top platform, light the tip, blow out the flame gently, and set it down somewhere still. The smoke will start flowing in about 30 seconds. Works best with no fan or draft in the room.
Is it safe indoors?
Yes. It is real incense smoke, so if smoke bothers you, crack a window. Otherwise it is no different from burning a candle. Keep it on a stable surface away from anything flammable.
How long does a cone last?
Most backflow cones burn for 20 to 30 minutes. Some brands run shorter or longer. Half an hour of watching the smoke is usually enough.
How long does shipping take?
Free US shipping on every order. Most arrive in about two weeks. You will get a tracking number by email when it ships.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, 30 days, no interrogation. See the Returns page for the details.
Is this a good gift?
That is the most common reason people order it. It is specific, it is handmade, and it does something nobody has seen before. It works well for people who are hard to shop for.
How do I clean it?
A soft dry cloth or a small brush. If ash builds up in the basin, tip it gently into a wastebasket. Do not submerge it in water.
